Studio Etiquette + Policies

First time at a studio, or just not sure what to bring or what to expect? Find out here!

We're not all rules, but for your positive experience, we do have a few! Here they are.

Refund Policy - Drop-ins, class passes, events and memberships are non-refundable. If you cancel your class reservation prior to class time, your drop-in or class pass will be applied to your next visit.

Late Cancelation Policy - We ask that you please cancel using your APP with as much notice as possible when cancelling a class to give someone on the waitlist ample notice to get to class. Emailing the studio or staff does not count as signing yourself out. *Please note reformer classes have a separate late cancelation policy of 24 hours due to the semi-private classes.

No-Shows - There is a $10 no-show fee for unlimited members who don't attend or sign out, and a class will be deducted for pass holders and drop-ins. Please consider that when you are reserved for a class, you are holding that spot and preventing someone else from attending. If you aren't sure if you have been shifted into class from the waitlist, check your emails and junk folder for a confirmation or check your APP and be sure to click refresh. If you are on the waitlist and can no longer make it, please remove yourself from the waitlist. You will be charged a no show if you get shifted in to class and do not attend.

Late Policy - We do not allow latecomers into classes as it is distracting to both students in the class and the instructor. For aerial and reformer classes it is actually a safety concern. We know things happen, and we will try to accommodate you by finding space for you in the next class. Classes begin right at the scheduled times, so please arrive with enough time to change, fill your water bottle, set up, and be ready to begin at class time. If you arrive at the scheduled class time, class will have already started.

Classroom Etiquette - To maintain a quiet and relaxing space, there are no cell phones permitted in the class, even if they are turned off. Apple watches must be set to do not disturb and may not be used for communication during classes. We have lockers available for personal items to ensure a clean and clutter free movement space. Please only attend a class if you have the time to attend the entire class. Packing up before the end of class is unpleasant and distracting to the experience of those around you. If you borrow a mat, please spray it down with the mat cleaner provided and return it to the front desk or hang it on the mat racks to dry.

Common Space Etiquette - Please keep noise to a minimum outside the studios at all times. Hallway noise can be alarming for those in a class. We have a lounge area available for socializing, tea, and asking your instructor questions. We ask that you please keep your mats clean and odour free, as a stinky mat can make for an unpleasant experience for everyone. Hanging them to dry at home between classes can help to prevent odour causing bacteria.

Showers - Please keep showers to a few minutes as a courtesy to those waiting. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. We also offer towel rental for $3.

What to Bring - All classes require a mat including barre, Pilates and aerial, and you may want to bring a water bottle with you. If you wish to lock up your belongings, we do have lockers available.

MEMBERSHIP FAQs

How do I cancel my renewing membership?

The Attic Unlimited is an auto-renewing membership, it will not stop on it's own. If you wish to discontinue the renewal after you have completed your 3 month minimum commitment, you can cancel by emailing hello@theatticyoga.com.

If you cancel before the 3 month commitment is complete, you will need to upgrade your auto-renew pass to a single month pass for each month you were a member and pay the difference. The lower cost of a renewing membership is due to the commitment.

Can I put my membership on hold?

The Attic Unlimited $150 membership is the only memberships that can be put on hold - up to 28 days per calendar year. It does NOT have to align with your renewal date, whatever is remaining on your current month will be shifted forward to when you return. A start and end date are both required for a hold. Memberships can be put on hold in one week increments up to 28 days total, however 7 days is the minimum hold.

If you are on a promo membership/membership discount, you must upgrade to the Attic Unlimited $150 to be eligible for a hold. The intro pass, single month, annual pass and promotional passes are not eligible for holds.

If I haven't used my membership or class passes can I receive a refund?

All payments including memberships, class passes, single month and drop ins are non-refundable.

Can I extend the expiry date of my class passes?

All of our class passes are priced according to current studio costs as well as the season. Sometimes we have class pass sales to give a little bit of a boost to class numbers during slow times. We set our package expiry accordingly. All expiry dates are clearly posted when purchasing, and you can keep track of your remaining classes and expiry on your APP. We also send a courtesy email to let you know when there are 2 weeks remaining, so make sure your notifications are on! For these reasons, we offer 2 options for expiry extensions:

1. Add 1 month to your passes for $30

2. Purchase another class pass before your current one expires, we can add your remaining classes to the new package upon request, however you must let us know as the old passes will not automatically shift over.
